LUCKNOW, Nov. 25 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday expressed solidarity with BLOs amidst the ongoing exercise of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in UP, alleging that they were being "put under pressure and harassed by the BJP government." In his open letter to BLOs, Yadav wrote: "Dear BLO brothers and sisters, the inhumane treatment and mental pressure being inflicted on you by assigning you impractical targets is highly condemnable and deeply objectionable. The BJP regime has provided nothing but various forms of harassment and unrest." "The BJP has not created new jobs, and has made existing ones so difficult that people quit in frustration. It is inhumane to expect BLOs to abandon their homes and families and work like machines by setting impossible targets that cannot be met. The BJP is doing all this for its electoral scam, but the question is: why should BLOs, who are quitting out of frustration or who are risking their lives, suffer the consequences of this political swindle?" he asked....
