LUCKNOW, Oct. 31 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that the BJP was using Nitish Kumar for elections and that people of Bihar were aware of "this fact". He expressed confidence that the INDIA bloc would form the government in Bihar under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav. Akhilesh, who along with the party's national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav, visited Saidpur in Ghazipur on Thursday to meet MLA Ankit Bharti told reporters that people of Bihar wanted a change. "Bihar wants to embark on the path of prosperity and progress. We all stand with Tejashwi Yadav who will take Bihar forward, bring development, and provide employment and jobs to the youth," he said. Alleging that the credibility of the Prime Minister and BJP government had been eroded both domestically and abroad, the SP chief said: "The US President mocks the PM daily even as America is strengthening its economy by imposing tariffs on India. The central government is causing significant damage to our economy by increasing trade with China, which has taken over our market." He also alleged that the BJP government's "wrong policies" had ruined the country's economy and that Inflation and unemployment had reached their peak. The SP chief said that as soon as the Samajwadi Party formed the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, farmers would be helped and markets established. He added that he would arrange for permanent recruitment in the army. On the issue of Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Akhilesh said that the BJP wanted to commit fraud in the voter list. "No BLOs are from the PDA anywhere in UP, which has the highest number of PDA voters," alleged Akhilesh. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav will now begin campaigning for INDIA bloc candidates in the Bihar assembly elections from November 1, instead of November 3 as announced earlier. Last week, the SP released a list of 20 star campaigners for the second phase of Bihar assembly polls. The list included Akhilesh Yadav, Azam Khan, Dimple Yadav, Afzal Ansari, Awadhesh Prasad, Iqra Hasan, Priya Saroj, and Laxmikant alias Pappu Nishad, among others....
