BJP to finalise organisational structure at all levels by Jan 15
Dehradun, Nov. 30 -- The Uttarakhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday said it will finalise its organisational structure at all levels by January 15, ahead of the 2027 assembly elections in the state.
State BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said his party will finalise its organisational structure by mid January.
A meeting regarding the organisational structure and expansion was held at the state party headquarters in Dehradun on Saturday.
The teams of all wings have been finalized and will be announced within a day or two, Bhatt said.
The mandal and district presidents will also be finalized by January 15, he said.
Meanwhile, Bhatt also responded to Congress' criticism that the state BJP government was interfering with religious beliefs by referring to the upcoming Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar as Kumbh.
Bhatt said, "This largest gathering of Sanatan Dharma, whether it takes place every six or twelve years, is still called the Kumbh. So no one should read too much into the terminology."
He said the government is making arrangements for the 2027 Haridwar Ardh Kumbh on the lines of the Purna Kumbh, adding that the aim is to ensure that the expected millions of devotees can participate without any difficulty.
He said the "anti-Sanatan party" need not worry unnecessarily about the issue.
Uttarakhand Congress chief spokesperson Garima Mehra Dasauni said, "The BJP is continuously trying to rewrite the country's history. altering historical figures.But interference in matters of faith will not be tolerated. Religious traditions are ancient, they carry long-held beliefs, and people's devotion is attached to them."...
