Haldwani, Sept. 11 -- The Uttarakhand unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday removed Vipin Pandey from his post as state secretary BJP Yuva Morcha, and also his active membership in the party has also been terminated. The decision was taken by BJP Yuva Morcha state president Shashank Rawat, following the recommendation of BJP Uttarakhand president Mahendra Bhatt. The action comes amid growing controversy surrounding Pandey, who has been actively protesting against the Nainital police administration in recent days. He is accused of allegedly trying to hit a person with his motorcycle, after which the Mukhani police registered a case against him on August 31. On Saturday, Pandey staged a protest along with his family outside the office of the senior superintendent of police (SSP), demanding justice.
