BJP's week-long events to commemorateAhilyabai birth anniv
LUCKNOW, May 15 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced the launch of 'Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Smriti Abhiyan' alongside the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Uttar Pradesh amid its ongoing 'One Nation-One Election' campaign and 'Sangathan Parv' in the state.
Addressing a meeting here, BJP state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh said that after the state- level workshop for the 'Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Birth Tercentenary Memorial Campaign,' meetings should be organised at the district level on May 17 and 18 to finalise the action plan.
He added that from May 21 to 31, various programmes would be held under the campaign, and convenors for each would be appointed.
The district-level meetings will be attended by office-bearers, campaign teams, Mahila Morcha district presidents and general secretaries, and mandal presidents and general secretaries.
Singh said that programmes held at the municipal corporation, municipal council, and municipal panchayat levels should be finalised before the district-level meetings.
He added that NGOs and women's organisations willing to collaborate in the campaign should be encouraged to participate.
Singh further stated that exhibitions and documentary screenings would be organised at the district level, with the participation of women representatives being mandatory.
Under the campaign, seminars, street plays, school and college events, dance-dramas, cultural programmes, and women empowerment runs will be held....
