MEERUT, Oct. 23 -- The BJP has removed its district Kisan Morcha vice president, Vikul Chaprana, after a video surfaced showing him purportedly forcing a trader to rub his nose on the ground during a public altercation in Meerut. The incident occurred on the night of October 19 in Meerut's Tejgarhi under the Medical police station limits. The dispute reportedly began over parking outside minister of state for power Somendra Tomar's office. In the video, Chaprana and his aides are seen surrounding two men inside a car, breaking windshields, hurling abuses, and purportedly threatening them in front of police personnel. The victims, identified as Satyam Rastogi of Shastri Nagar and Siddharth Paul of Prabhat Nagar, were forced to apologise publicly. Eyewitnesses said the accused and his men intimidated the traders while policemen remained in the vehicle. Following the viral video, SSP Vipin Tada suspended three policemen for negligence and confirmed the arrest of Chaprana, who had no prior criminal record. Rastogi said the incident arose from a minor parking issue. Minister Somendra Tomar denied any involvement, adding that he did not know the accused. BJP Meerut president Shivkumar Rana condemned the act, calling it 'unacceptable' and promising further action. Social activist Sandeep Pehal demanded accountability, questioning why no FIR has been filed against the accused. Lawyer Ramkumar Sharma has written to the UP DGP seeking stricter action, stating that public humiliation in front of police 'cannot be tolerated'....
