Lucknow, Oct. 12 -- Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said the BJP needs Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati's nephew Akash Anand more than the BSP requires him. Akash was elevated as the BSP's national vice-president at Mayawati's Lucknow rally held on October 9 to mark the 19th death anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram. "The need for Akash Anand of the BSP is more in the BJP," Yadav said. He was speaking to the media at a programme held at the SP office to pay tribute to socialist icon Jayaprakash Narayan on his birth anniversary. Earlier in the day, Samajwadi Chatra Sabha members garlanded the statue of JP inside the JPNIC which has been locked by LDA and a heavy police force was deployed to stop anyone from going inside the building. The project was realised during the SP regime in the state. A picture of a garlanded statue of Jayprakash Narayan and a red cap of SP Chatra Sabha was posted by Akhilesh Yadav on social media. "Today, we pledge that we will not let the government sell JPNIC. The JPNIC building is in a bad state," he said. "We have an emotional attachment with JPNIC as when the foundation was laid, at that time Netaji, George Fernandesji were present," he added. "The reasons why JP had to come among people back then, those reasons are relevant even today," he said. On the Facebook account being suspended briefly on Friday evening, Yadav said, "My Facebook account was suspended last evening, I came to know that there were reports of adult violence and sexual content on my page. "I had posted about an incident from Ballia and a post about a murder of a journalist. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. We have learnt that as much as we struggle on ground we will be more successful in making people aware. On the recent meeting between the Afghanistan foreign minister and India's external affairs minister, Yadav said, "I saw a video today in which a Taliban minister is being received by our foreign minister and, on the other hand, what is our CM saying about the Taliban?"...
