LUCKNOW, May 17 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Friday submitted a proposal to chief minister Yogi Adityanath to transform Kanshi Ram colonies and other weak income class residential schemes into smart colonies equipped with all facilities. Singh has also suggested to constitute a high-level standing committee under the chief secretary to oversee the transformation of these colonies. He has emphasised the need for overall beautification and painting of the colonies and establishment of community centres and parks. Singh has also suggested to strengthen water drainage system, sewer lines and water pipelines. Health and wellness centres, post offices, ATMs and other essential services have also been suggested along with schools and educational institutions. He said the objective is to provide dignity and facilities to every citizen, particularly those residing in deprived colonies.
