LUCKNOW, Oct. 23 -- BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar Rajeshwar Singh on Wednesday submitted a proposal to chief minister Yogi Adityanath, recommending the implementation of an "area-wise demographic policy" (ADP) for Uttar Pradesh. The BJP MLA proposed that each district should be divided into Green-Amber-Red categories and a region-wise policy be implemented. "The Girls' Secondary Mission should ensure 100% education for girls up to the 12th grade. Doorstep health services should be provided in high-total fertility rate districts under Mission Parivar Vikas 2.0, and there should be public monitoring of all indicators through the Uttar Pradesh Demography Dashboard," Rajeshwar Singh said. The BJP MLA proposed a 5% additional development grants to high-performing districts and tax/housing priority for families with two or fewer children.
