BJP MLA meets CM, submitspolicy note on Lko's dev
LUCKNOW, Oct. 17 -- BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Thursday met chief minister Yogi Adityanath and submitted a comprehensive policy note aimed at transforming Lucknow into India's best-planned, sustainable and technology-driven capital city.
The policy note addresses key civic challenges, including waterlogging, traffic congestion, waste management, pollution and healthcare. It also presents an integrated model for smart governance, green mobility and citizen participation.
Singh's proposal includes the formation of a "High-Level Capital Development Review Committee" chaired by the chief secretary to review all major projects every three months and directly report to the CM. The panel will ensure faster coordination, accountability, and progress across infrastructure, environment and welfare sectors. Singh also submitted a proposal for a state welfare fund for media persons and requested the CM's intervention for early completion of pending development projects in Sarojini Nagar.
Among the major highlights are AI-based drainage and traffic systems modelled on global best practices from Singapore and London. The proposals include expansion of Shivri waste-to-energy plant and introduction of "Swachh Lucknow Points" for citizen, rewards, Gomti river rejuvenation 2.0 with real-time water sensors and oxygen parks, Green Lucknow Mission 2030 - creation of 10 urban forests, 50 oxygen parks, rooftop gardens and AI-powered health watch portal and mobile clinics for proactive healthcare.
