Women carrying Tiranga, saffron flags, placards, swords and rolling pins took part in the march taken out from Bangla Bazar Chowk. Addressing the gathering, Singh said: "Women power in India is not weak. A woman is the living symbol of creation, culture and tradition." "Those who insult traditions and women's dignity are neither followers of culture nor servants of the nation. Be it the Maulana's comment or the opposition's silence, it's the poverty of ideology. It's anti-national," Singh added. Singh said the country that gave rise to women like Rani Laxmibai, Veerangana Uda Devi and Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, would not bow to "Mullahs' fatwas."
