BJP leaders praise Ahilyabai's contribution to nation-building
Lucknow, June 1 -- BJP leaders highlighted Ahilyabai Holkar's remarkable legacy as a brave queen, effective administrator, warrior, and pioneer of economic and cultural revival.
A seminar was organised at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Saturday to commemorate the culmination of the 300th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Ahilyabai Holkar.
Addressing the gathering, state BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary referred to Ahilyabai Holkar's remarkable legacy and emphasised that her life serves as an inspiration for women, showcasing her bravery, compassion, and vision.
Cabinet minister AK Sharma noted that Ahilyabai worked tirelessly to promote her traditions and heritage by renovating and rebuilding temples across the country.
He listed her contributions to economic and strategic strengthening, public welfare, and women's empowerment during her rule.
Dinesh Sharma praised Ahilyabai for preserving India's cultural heritage and traditions despite attempts by the Mughals and British to erase them.
BJP leader Neeraj Singh stated that Ahilyabai dedicated her life to restoring Indian culture and religious traditions.
District BJP president Anand Dwivedi apprised the gathering that the BJP organised various programmes under the "Smriti Abhiyan" from May 21 to May 31 to spread awareness about Ahilyabai Holkar's contributions to faith and tradition....
