Lucknow, Nov. 6 -- BJP's Uttar Pradesh organisational general secretary Dharampal Singh on Wednesday called upon all party workers, office bearers and public representatives to actively participate in the ongoing voter revision campaign. The goal is to ensure that every eligible person's name is included on the electoral roll and no ineligible voter remains on the list. Addressing a meeting of divisional presidents and assembly conveners in Barabanki, Singh said the voter revision campaign was among the party's most crucial drives. He stressed the need to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and that bogus names are removed from the rolls. He directed that war rooms be set up at district and assembly levels and linked to the one at the state level. Singh also said that BLA-1 workers should coordinate with BLA-2 representatives, who are the party's authorised nominees to the Election Commission, and that their selection must be made with utmost care. He added that along with BLA-1 and BLA-2, the party would also appoint booth-level "pravasis," with all three jointly responsible for ensuring effective voter list verification at the booth level.
