LUCKNOW, June 28 -- Police on Friday cracked the brutal murder of a 45-year-old businessman, who was found dead in a rented house in Gudamba earlier this week, by arresting four suspects, two of whom are brothers who had borrowed Rs.60 lakh from him. Umashankar Singh, a native of Sultanpur, was found dead on June 24 at House No. 145 in Arjun Enclave. His wife, Mamta Singh, filed a complaint at the Gudamba police station, alleging murder over a financial dispute. DCP East Shashank Singh told newsmen: "Based on electronic surveillance and CCTV footage, the police identified and arrested Sanjay Kumar Chauhan, 36, and Shiva Singh alias Shivram Singh (34) from Sakrasi village in Sultanpur; and Kavinandan Singh alias Chhotu, 26 and Abhinandan Singh, 45, from Pratapgarh. They were caught near the Behat flyover." According to police, following their interrogation, police recovered two blood-stained axes, a knife, and the clothes worn during the murder.
