Bihar will opt for vikas or vinash, says Nadda
AURANGABAD/VAISHALI, Oct. 24 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, addressing an election rally in Aurangabad on Thursday criticised the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying the party stands for Rangdari (extortion), Jungle Raaj, and Dabangai (bullying).
Sharpening his attack, Nadda said, "Having been born and lived for 20 years in Bihar, I have witnessed that period of darkness. The present elections are a fight between Vikas (development) and Vinash (destruction)." He appealed to voters to support BJP candidate Ran Vijay Singh in the Goh constituency.
Starting his speech by paying homage to Dudheshwarnath Mahadev, Nadda highlighted Bihar's historical importance. "Bihar, the land of Aryabhatta, has provided leadership to the country since ancient times and contributed great knowledge to the world," he said.
Nadda asked voters to compare the destruction during the 20-year RJD rule with the progress under the NDA government. He further alleged that Lalu and Tejashwi never acknowledged their misrule.
"Giving a ticket to Shahabuddin's son even now shows that they want to push Bihar back into crime. Have you forgotten that kidnapping had become a business in Bihar? Doctors, engineers, lawyers, and businessmen were fleeing the state. Tejashwi talks about migration but shows no shame. To prevent this, the NDA must win," Nadda said.
Criticising RJD's promise of a government job for every family, he questioned the source of funds to pay salaries. He also condemned the RJD for fielding gangster-turned-politician Md Shahabuddin's son, Osama Shahab, calling it a threat to public security.
The BJP national president highlighted Bihar's rapid progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Nitish Kumar. "Work is underway to advance Bihar in every aspect.
The railway budget has increased over the last 10 years. 26 out of 44 Vande Bharat trains originate from Bihar. Under the Amrit Bharat Yojana, 98 new stations are being built, which will be like airports. No one had even imagined this," he said.
Later, at a rally in Patepur assembly constituency in Vaishali district, Nadda reiterated that the NDA government is committed to the overall development of Bihar. He was accompanied by deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary....
