BHU pushes scientific frontiers in Hindi at Hindi Day celebration
VARANASI, Sept. 15 -- Describing Hindi as a significant medium in education and science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) vice-chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi said, "Hindi is not just a language; it is an integral part of our cultural and scientific heritage. Institutions like BHU are committed to promoting Hindi in scientific research. I am pleased that publications like Achintya are an important step in this direction, proving that complex scientific concepts can be effectively expressed in Hindi. The time has come to expand the reach of the Hindi Publication Committee globally. BHU's work should be made accessible through podcasts as well."
Prof Chaturvedi was speaking at Anviti-a Hindi Day ceremony organised by BHU's Hindi Publication Cell-held on Sunday at the Mahamana Auditorium, Institute of Science. The event emphasised the cultural and scientific significance of Hindi by highlighting its connection to science, education, and the university system.
During the two-hour programme, held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, the special Hindi issue of Achintya was released. The program began with the traditional lamp lighting and recital of the university anthem (Kulgeet).
