BHU launches exam stress mgmt clinic
VARANASI, Nov. 2 -- The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has started an Examination Stress Management Clinic at the Student Welfare Centre in the university to support students during the examination season and teach them stress management techniques. The clinic began on Saturday.
The clinic will offer a safe and supportive space for students to address examination-related stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges. He added that the objective of the clinic is to provide support and foster a non-judgmental environment where students can openly express concerns. In addition, it will also teach stress management techniques.
The clinic will also encourage habits of self-care, emotional regulation, and efficient planning. The clinic will also introduce students to relaxation methods, mindfulness practices, and time management strategies. It will help students build resilience, strengthen coping mechanisms to help students navigate academic pressures effectively and enhance awareness around mental health and encourage emotional balance.
An initiative by the Well-Being Services Cell (WBSC) of BHU, the clinic started operating on Saturday. On the first day, 17 students from various faculties participated in a group counselling session led by a student counsellor, exploring the root causes of examination stress and practical ways to manage it, said BHU public relations officer Rajesh Singh.

Beginning next week, every Tuesday, a professor from a different academic discipline will engage with students to discuss examination-related challenges and share academic insights, fostering a culture of empathy and academic support....
