New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- The Election Commission of India(ECI) on February 10 extended the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal, pushing the final publication of the rolls to February 28, 2026. Under the revised timeline sent to the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, hearings on notices will continue till February 14, scrutiny and disposal of cases till February 21, and the final publication of rolls on February 28. Earlier, the final voter rolls were to be published on February 14. EC had already extended the process once due to the unusually high number of hearings and objections.
