Lucknow, Nov. 7 -- As many as 60 paintings made in acrylic and oil on canvas were displayed in an art exhibition "Chaturang" that began at Kalasrot Art Gallery on Wednesday. These paintings are made by four artists from Bengal and it attempts to blend Bengal's traditional art, spirituality, and modern perspectives. It was inaugurated by veteran theatre artist Anil Rastogi and will remain open till November 10 from 2pm - 8pm daily. Usha Ranjan Mondal, one of the artists, has showcased her paintings under the theme 'Life with Nature'. Her works depicted a blend of nature and the divine feminine. Swapan Roy, through his paintings on 'Buddha Series', conveyed messages of peace and self-realisation. Shubhendu Biswas presented Krishna and nature as one unified form. Gopal Chandra Naskar depicted socio-cultural themes - from messages against racial discrimination to personification of classical music. HTC...
