India, June 29 -- Former English footballer Sir David Beckham received a heartfelt message from his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, after undergoing arm surgery that required hospitalisation. Victoria took to her Instagram account on Friday to share a health update of her husband, where she wished him a speedy recovery. In the photo, David is seen smiling while lying in a hospital bed, his right arm resting in a blue sling. Victoria wrote in the caption, "Get well soon Daddy." In another photo, Victoria shared a gift she gave David during his recovery - a beaded bracelet with the words "Get Well Soon." According to sources quoted by The Sun, David recently underwent surgery after suffering from "unbearable" arm pain, a recurrence of an injury he first sustained during a 2003 match against South Africa. The source added, "David had been in pain for years but thought nothing of it. He just kept going until, recently, it became quite unbearable. A routine scan showed that the pin, which was meant to have dissolved, hadn't - so he was booked to finally resolve the issue all these years later.
