Beauty parlour used as front for sex racket in Prayagraj, 6 held
PRAYAGRAJ, May 11 -- Police on Saturday evening busted an alleged sex racket operating from a beauty parlour here in the Kalyani Devi area under Atarsuiya police station limits and arrested six people, including four women, officials said.
Police said the raid was conducted after receiving a tip-off about alleged flesh trade activities being carried out from a rented house in the locality. During the operation, police arrested landlord Sushil Kesarwani, customer Ashutosh Yadav and four women from the premises.
Officials said objectionable materials and sex-related medicines were also recovered during the raid. According to police, three of the arrested women are from Prayagraj, while one woman is a resident of Pratapgarh. Officials said the beauty parlour operator, a resident of Hanumanganj under Sarai Inayat police station area, was allegedly managing the racket from the rented premises. During questioning, police learnt that the landlord and the operator had allegedly been running the racket together for nearly a year.
Nikita Srivastava, ACP, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and further legal proceedings are underway. Police said this is the third alleged sex racket busted in Prayagraj in recent months. Earlier, two similar cases were detected in the Kydganj area....
