Bbk duo who snatched chains in Lko arrested
Lucknow, Nov. 18 -- Police have arrested two men who would travel from Barabanki to Lucknow to snatch chains, using a motorcycle without a number plate to avoid being identified. The duo was caught after they slipped and fell with their bike while trying to flee during a checking drive on Sunday night.
DCP East Sashank Singh said that the arrests come in connection with an October 7 incident in Indira Nagar, where Sarita Jain was returning home through a lane near Amrapali Chauraha when two men snatched the gold chain from her neck. "A case was registered at Gazipur police station, and multiple teams were deployed to trace the accused," he added.
"Police scanned CCTV footage from the area and questioned several suspects. On November 16, during checking at Polytechnic Crossing, two men riding a speeding motorcycle without helmets and without a number plate were spotted heading towards the checkpoint," said ACP Gazipur Anindiya Vikram Singh. "On seeing the police, they attempted a U-turn to escape, lost control and fell, and were subsequently arrested."...
