Bareilly STF nabs criminal carrying Rs.25,000 reward
Meerut, Jan. 14 -- The Bareilly unit of the Special Task Force (STF), in coordination with Rampur police, arrested a notorious criminal carrying a reward of Rs.25,000. The accused, identified as Pawan alias Ambe, is a history-sheeter of the Milak police station area and a resident of Lohapatti village in Milak.
Pawan is alleged to be the kingpin of a criminal gang involved in serious offences such as theft, robbery, dacoity and rape. Police records reveal that a total of 38 criminal cases are registered against him across Rampur, Bareilly and Gonda districts, including eight cases in which he was absconding. Rampur superintendent of police Vidyasagar Mishra had announced a cash reward of Rs.25,000 for his arrest.
The STF and Patwai police arrested Pawan near the Indane Gas Agency on the Milak-Patwai road on Monday. Police officials said further legal action is underway. HTC...
