MEERUT, Sept. 12 -- A young man was allegedly shot dead following an argument with an auto driver near Isaison's bridge in the Baradari police area of Bareilly on Wednesday night, police said. Police said Gaurav, aged around 21 years, along with his cousin Akash Goswami, had gone to meet his stepbrother Manoj Goswami in Kulcha village under Shahi police limits. The two returned after the meeting and had dinner at a hotel before going to the Satellite bus stand on a motorcycle. At the bus stand, they had a verbal dispute with an auto driver. Later, the auto driver, accompanied by some associates, confronted Gaurav's group at Isaison's bridge. The altercation escalated and one of the men allegedly opened fire, injuring Gaurav, police said. He was rushed to Ganga Charan Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead within hours. Inspector, Baradari police station, Dhananjay Pandey said the auto had been seized and a manhunt launched for the accused. The body was sent for the post-mortem examination....
