Kanpur, Sept. 23 -- A government primary school in Kanpur Dehat was turned into a venue for an all-night dance show featuring bar performers with village strongmen joining in, as children watched from the floor. The programme, held on Sunday night in Kyotra Bangar village under the Musanagar police station, was organised by local resident Gajraj Singh to mark his grandson's Chhathi ceremony. The Musanagar police registered a case against four people, naming themselves as complainants. DM Kanpur Dehat, Kapil Singh, ordered immediate suspension of the school's headmaster after the footage went viral. The block education officer has been served a show-cause notice too. "Anyone found guilty will face strict action," the district magistrate said, adding that " what happened in school is unacceptable" . The school premises were used without permission, officials confirmed.
