Bank guard held for alleged molestation of minor
LUCKNOW, July 23 -- A private security guard at a bank in Lucknow's Mahanagar area was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old boy under the pretext of teaching him to ride a motorcycle. The incident occurred on Monday night, prompting local teenagers to alert police after noticing suspicious behaviour. The accused, identified as Ajay Kumar from Mahoba district, lived in New Hyderabad area and worked as a guard at a nearby bank. Police said he often took the boy along, claiming to teach him biking.
According to police, on Monday around 9:30 pm, Ajay took the child out, citing the need to refuel the bike. Upon returning, the boy rode the motorcycle to Ajay's room, where the alleged assault took place.Nearby youths raised an alarm, notifying authorities.
An employee of a real estate firm and his wife have been booked along with three others for allegedly defrauding the company and demanding Rs 1 crore to return land purchased in his name. The accused, Rakesh Kumar of Prag Narayan Road, Lucknow, had been working with the firm for over 15 years.
The FIR, lodged at Hazratganj police station on the complaint of company director Sudhir Kumar Gupta, names Rakesh Kumar, his wife Bhawana, Ashutosh Mishra, Radhey, and an unidentified person.
Police said the company registered lands in Rakesh's name to facilitate purchase from Dalit landowners, in compliance with legal provisions. Although the payment was made by the company, land ownership was documented in Rakesh's name. Rakesh went missing on December 5, 2024. His wife filed a missing complaint the following day. While the search was underway, company employees received a WhatsApp call allegedly from Ashutosh and Radhey, claiming to have Rakesh in their custody and demanding Rs 1 crore for the return of the land. htc...
