Bangladeshi nationals sent to Bengal border
Jaipur, May 24 -- At least 153 Bangladeshi nationals who have been identified staying illegally in Rajasthan by the state police were deported to the West Bengal border on Wednesday morning via Jodhpur airport to be sent back to their country, said officials, taking the toll of such deportation to 301 during the drive which was started by the Rajasthan police on April 29.
A senior police official from Rajasthan police's intelligence department said, "At least 153 illegally Bangladeshi nationals were deported to the West Bengal-Bangladesh border today via Jodhpur airport. Majority of these nationals were detained from Jaipur, Ajmer, and Sikar and have been kept in Jaipur's temporary detention centre. From West Bengal, the officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) will contact their Bangladesh counterpart and take further action to send them back to Bangladesh."
He further added: "This the second stint so far during the drive against illegal Bangladeshi nationals which was launched on April 29....
