In the meeting chaired by Commission chairman Rajesh Verma, it was unanimously decided to establish a Backward Classes Research Institute. The institute will carry out in-depth studies and research on the social and educational backwardness of OBCs across the state. The Commission also approved the opening of free coaching centres for poor and needy OBC students. Keeping in view the shortage of space in the existing office, the panel agreed to construct a separate building for the Commission. The new facility is expected to provide better infrastructure for officials, officers, and representatives attending hearings. The meeting was attended by vice president Sohan Lal Shrimali, member Surya Prakash Pal, and other members of the Commission....
