B'shahr man stabbed to death by friends over verbal abuse
MEERUT, Oct. 15 -- A 30-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his two friends following an altercation, in Aloda Jagir village under jurisdiction of Kakod police station of Bulandshahr district on Monday.
Police on Tuesday arrested one of the accused, while efforts are ongoing to locate the other suspect.
The local police received information about a man's body found in the area. Upon arriving on the spot, they identified the deceased as Sanjay Sharma, a resident of the same village.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Monu often drank with two of his close friends, Krishna Kumar and Sagar Sharma, and the three were seen together on Sunday evening.
During the drinking session, a heated argument erupted, and in a fit of rage, the two friends allegedly attacked Monu with a screwdriver, inflicting multiple stab wounds that caused his immediate death.
Acting promptly, the police apprehended one of the accused, Krishna, on Monday evening.
During interrogation, he confessed to the murder, stating that the altercation started due to verbal abuse while drinking. He further disclosed that he and another friend used a screwdriver to repeatedly stab Monu.
Superintendent of police Dinesh Kumar Singh confirmed that one suspect has been taken into custody, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the second. "The body has been sent for postmortem after completing the necessary legal formalities. Further investigation is in progress," Singh stated....
