Dehradun, April 16 -- A 24-year-old Bangladeshi woman was arrested for allegedly residing in India using forged Indian identity documents in Rishikesh, police said on Wednesday. According to police, a Bangladeshi national identity card, a forged Indian Aadhar card, a copy of a Bangladeshi citizenship certificate, and a mobile phone, have been recovered from the woman's possession. Police said the arrest was made near Gate No. 3 on Dag Road in the Natraj Chowk area of Rishikesh. According to police, the accused, identified as Reena alias Rita, a resident of Sariatpur district in Dhaka division of Bangladesh, had entered India illegally around a month ago after allegedly crossing the border with the help of a person identified as Ripon. She was reportedly lured with the promise of employment in India.
