Azamgarh: One killed, 4 hurt in accident
VARANASI, Dec. 16 -- A 17-year-old boy was killed and four others were injured when a truck rammed into a stationary bus on the Purvanchal Expressway on Monday, police said. The incident took place near Shamshadpur village under the Ahraula police station area of the district.
Police said that the deceased was identified as Deepak Chauhan, a resident of Lado Ballia, Mubarakpur police station area. Deepak had gotten off the bus to relieve himself when he was hit by the container truck, resulting in his death on the spot.
The seriously injured passengers include Santosh Kumar (27), Rahul Yadav (25), both of Ballia district, Naseem (25) of Ghazipur and Mukhkhu (55) of Mau district.
The UPDA team and a police team led by reached the spot and took the body into custody, and sent the injured to the Aharoula Community Health Centre. After primary treatment, four of the injured were referred to the district hospital due to their serious condition.
