Lucknow, May 27 -- The AYUSH department has initiated the process to fill 4,350 vacancies across the Ayurveda, Unani, and homeopathy sectors. The recruitment will be carried out through various modes, including promotions, direct recruitment, and requisitions. Requisitions for several posts have already been submitted, according to a press statement issued by the state government on Monday. Principal secretary, AYUSH, Ranjan Kumar said that chief minister Yogi Adityanath had stressed the urgency of recruitment during a departmental meeting. Accordingly, preparations are underway to fill key posts such as director, deputy director, principal, professor, lecturer, medical officer, staff nurse, pharmacist, matron, and reader. Of the 7,233 sanctioned posts in the Ayurveda department, 4,208 are currently filled, leaving 3,025 vacancies. The Unani department has 161 vacancies out of 462 posts, while homeopathy faces 1,164 vacancies out of 3,818 sanctioned positions.
