Ayodhya to get grand VVIP guest house by Nov next year
Lucknow, June 16 -- A VVIP guest house will come up on 14,510 square metres in the Majha Mirpur area of Ayodhya at an estimated cost of Rs 93 crore, and it will have dedicated facilities for the prime minister, the governor and the chief minister, officials said.
The project is expected to be completed in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode by November next year. The public works department (PWD) is executing the project.
According to PWD executive engineer Umesh Chandra, Rs 3,281.41 lakh or Rs 32.81 crore has been allocated for the project, whose construction took off last month.
The guest house will feature 47 luxurious suites and 77 standard rooms, all equipped with high-end furnishings, modern toilets, and essential amenities. It will be divided into six blocks (A to F), with specific arrangements for different categories of guests.
In the CM's block, precast concrete (PCC) work has been completed, and steel binding with rafting is underway. Excavation work is also progressing in the residential block.
"After the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ayodhya has witnessed an upsurge in the number of tourists and pilgrims. Also, high-profile guests-politicians, bureaucrats, and foreign dignitaries-frequently travel there. To ensure their safety and comfort, the VVIP Guest House is being built. This facility will not only offer a comfortable stay but also elevate Ayodhya's global image," the state government said on Sunday.
The guest house will be equipped with advanced security technologies, including CCTV surveillance, fire safety systems, and emergency exits.
A dedicated power substation will also be set up. It will have huge parking space, green landscaping, and other eco-friendly measures such as energy conservation and water management....
