LUCKNOW, Aug. 8 -- State government-run swimming sports hostel's Krishna Yadav on Thursday finished his campaign at the 51st Junior National Swimming Championship with yet another medal in Ahmedabad as he won his third medal. Having won a gold and silver already, Yadav, who hails from Ayodhya, on Thursday bagged a silver medal in the 50m butterfly boys group-II, clocking an impressive timing of 00:26.83 seconds. A la from Manipur won the gold medal, whereas the Kerala boy won the bronze medal. Two goals each by Parmeet and Cash helped spirited Ex Student Men's United Club beat Yuva Club by 6-0 in a Super League match of the District Football League-2025, at the Rastogi Inter College Ground here on Thursday. Parmeet scored in the 12th and 40th minute, whereas Cash struck in the 24th and 71st minutes. Mukesh and Ansh shared the remaining two goals between them. As per Lucknow District Football Association's secretary, Kanhaya Lal, now the Super League matches will be played at the Ekana Stadium's football ground from Friday onwards. On Friday, hosts Lucknow Falcon Club will take on Techtro Lucknow Reserve in the first match, whereas the second match will be played between Yuva Club and Techtro Lucknow Club. The SDS Tennis academy will be conducting the SB Lal Advocate Memorial Veterans Tennis Tournament from August 15 to 17, at the La Martinier Tennis Facility here. The event will be played in singles and doubles in 35 plus, 45 plus, 55 plus and 65 plus categories. As many as 35 umpires and scorers are participating in the two-day refresher course here in Lucknow under the auspices of the Cricket Association Lucknow. On Thursday, BCCI panel umpire and scorers Ashwini Mandhani, SP Singh and Rohit Yadav conducted the course.
