LUCKNOW, Nov. 22 -- The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board (Awas Vikas Parishad) is to accelerate the Ayodhya Greenfield Township project in Ayodhya after investors and allottees raised concerns over delays in the project's progress. Housing commissioner Balkar Singh on Friday directed officials to speed up all pending work and ensure strict adherence to timelines. During a high-level review meeting held at the Board auditorium, Singh emphasised that the township must progress without further hold-ups. He instructed departments to maintain quality standards while expediting construction. Singh asked teams to provide continuous support to investors to remove any bottlenecks. The tourism department, part of the meeting, briefed investors about the benefits available under the Tourism Policy 2022 and guided them on applying through the 'Nivesh Mitra' portal. Several investors informed the Board that they would soon start construction and also expressed interest in investing in educational and healthcare facilities within the township.
