AU to honour four alumni serving as SC judges on July 26
PRAYAGRAJ, July 20 -- Allahabad University will felicitate four of its distinguished alumni, who are currently serving as judges in the Supreme Court of India, at a special ceremony on July 26. The event is scheduled to begin at 9 am at the Ishwar Topa Auditorium.
The honourees-Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia, Justice Pankaj Mithal, and Justice Manoj Misra-are all proud alumni of Allahabad University, where they began their academic journeys before rising through the ranks of the Indian judiciary.
According to university officials, each of them served in various High Courts across the country before being elevated to the Supreme Court.
The ceremony is being organised by the University of Allahabad Alumni Association to celebrate their remarkable achievements and contributions to the Indian judicial system. Final preparations for the event were discussed during a meeting chaired by the university's vice-chancellor, Prof Sangita Srivastava.
According to Prof Kumar Virendra, secretary of the alumni association, arrangements for the event are well underway, and the proceedings will be live-streamed.
To inspire the next generation of legal professionals, students from the faculty of law will also participate in the event, shared AU public relations officer Prof Jaya Kapoor, adding, this celebration underscores the university's legacy of nurturing legal minds who go on to serve the highest echelons of the judiciary. she added....
