AU's EC approves new exam pattern for PG, professional courses
PRAYAGRAJ, March 24 -- The Executive Council, the apex decision-making body of Allahabad University, on Monday held an important meeting under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor Prof Sangita Srivastava, during which several key academic and administrative decisions were approved.

As per the new system, which will be implemented from the academic session 2026-27, the weightage of continuous internal assessment has been reduced to 30 percent, while the end-semester examination will now carry 70 percent weightage, replacing the earlier 40:60 ratio.

Additionally, students will now be required to complete at least one 2-credit course through the SWAYAM platform, promoting online and flexible learning.
In another key decision, the council appointed Prof Harsh Kumar as Chair Professor at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Chair. The council also approved the digital issuance of degree-related documents, enabling students to obtain provisional certificates, migration certificates, and final degrees online....
