Assistant BLO found dead in Sambhal
MEERUT, Dec. 2 -- A 40-year-old assistant booth level officer (BLO) was found dead at his residence in Sambhal district's Chaukunni village early on Monday morning. He was identified as Arvind Kumar. According to his family members, the incident came to light around 4 am when Arvind's wife Pratibha went to wake him up as she did every day but found no response despite repeated attempts.
He was rushed to a nearby primary health centre where doctors declared him dead. Kumar was a headmaster at the primary school in Faiyyaz Nagar, Hasanpur tehsil of Amroha and was deployed in SIR-related duties in the area. Arvind's brother-in-law and a fellow BLO Lal Singh alleged that he had been under severe stress due to election-related duties.
Inspector Sanjeev Balyan of Nakhasa police station said no formal complaint has been lodged so far. "We will take necessary action once a complaint is filed," he added....
