Around 2 lakh devotees visit Ayodhya on Hanuman Jayanti
AYODHYA, April 3 -- Around two lakh devotees visited Ram and Hanumangarhi temples in Ayodhya on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti festival on Thursday, said the district administration. Long queues could be seen outside the temples from as early as 4 am.
The administration had put in place extensive security arrangements to facilitate smooth darshan for the faithful. Special worship and rituals were performed on the Ram temple premises since early morning.
Vinay Katiyar, former MP and founder president of the Bajrang Dal, was prominent among those who participated in the rituals. Anil Mishra, Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust member, hoisted a saffron flag at the Hanuman Temple within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex on the occasion....
