LUCKNOW, Jan. 31 -- The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force (IAF) held a two-day joint conclave here that was aimed at strengthening inter-service coordination and enhancing preparedness for future operational challenges. Held at the headquarters of Central Command from Thursday and Friday, the annual event, Samanvay, brought together senior leadership of the Army's Surya Command and the IAF's Central Air Command to review joint planning mechanisms, interoperability and optimal use of resources across operational domains. The conclave was co-chaired by Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, and Air Marshal Balakrishnan Manikantan, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command. Senior officers from both services took part in what officials described as candid and forward-looking discussions.
