Haldwani, Jan. 23 -- Nainital district magistrate Lalit Mohan Rayal has revoked the arms licences of five people, including a municipal councillor from the Banbhulpura area of Haldwani, citing concerns over public safety and law and order. The decision was taken after a review revealed that all five licence holders had multiple criminal cases registered against them. The district administration said the action was taken to ensure public peace.
