LUCKNOW, Sept. 24 -- Daily commuters on Sultanpur Road may soon get relief as the long-awaited Arjunganj flyover near Mari Mata Temple is expected to open for vehicular movement early next week. Officials from Setu Nigam confirmed that the flyover, built to ease traffic congestion in the Arjunganj area, is ready, pending favourable weather conditions. UP State Bridge Corporation officials said the construction was completed nearly a month ago, but continuous rainfall delayed the application of the final bitumen layer, essential for road durability. With the rains subsiding, authorities are monitoring the surface; if it remains dry for a week, the finishing work will be done, and the flyover will undergo load testing by Tuesday.
