Another spectacle to dazzle Ayodhya this Deepotsav
LUCKNOW, Sept. 21 -- A 45-minute multimedia projection and laser show will dazzle the skyline of Ayodhya's Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of the Saryu during this year's Deepotsav. Over 100 artistes will bring several episodes of the Ramayana to life.
Officials said the Uttar Pradesh government aims to make Deepotsav-2025, scheduled from October 18 to 20, the grandest edition yet. The entire city will be illuminated and a Guinness World Record is expected to be set by lighting over 2.6 million earthen lamps at the Sarayu Ghat. Devotees and tourists from India and abroad are expected to witness the celebrations.
The 45-minute show will narrate the saga of Lord Rama through projection mapping, laser effects, fireworks, music, and storytelling, enhanced with new visuals, storyboards, and animation. In addition, tableaux will be displayed along a 200-metre stretch of the Sarayu, recreating key scenes from the Ramayana.
According to the tourism department, the blend of visual technology, choreography, costumes, music, and storytelling promises a unique and immersive experience for the audience....
