AMU ranks 5th among Indian univs, VC hails achievement
ALIGARH, June 20 -- Professor Naima Khatoon, vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), praised the university for securing 5th position among higher education institutions in India in the US News 2025 Global Rankings.
In a press statement, prof Khatoon expressed her pride in this achievement, stating, "This ranking not only reaffirms AMU's longstanding commitment to academic excellence but also highlights our dedication to providing a world-class education that promotes the development of future leaders."
Prof Mohd Mohsin Khan, pro-vice-chancellor of AMU, added, "This recognition highlights our commitment to creating a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful academic environment."
Prof Salim Beg, convener of the ranking committee at AMU also expressed his happiness over the ranking.
