LUCKNOW, Dec. 29 -- The Drug Traders' Association (Giriraj), a constituent unit of the Lucknow Vyapar Mandal, has announced that the Aminabad wholesale medicine market will remain closed for four days from December 29 to January 1. The decision was taken collectively by traders in line with the long-standing practice of year-end winter holidays. This break generally coincides with school holidays for children, according to a press release shared with the media on Sunday. This year, in view of the difficult conditions faced by the pharmaceutical trade, the association conducted a door-to-door survey across the market to decide on observing the holiday. More than 90 per cent of traders supported the closure, after which the decision was formally finalised. The association said that written intimation was submitted to the Drug Department and the District Magistrate on December 17, and copies of the survey, official letters and photographs of the market were also shared for reference....
