LUCKNOW, Sept. 16 -- A man in Amethi organised his wife's marriage with her lover and personally performed all rituals before bidding her farewell at a temple ceremony. The incident unfolded on Sunday evening at the Birla Temple in Amethi's Industrial Area, drawing large crowds and sparking discussions across the district. Police and family members said Shiv Shankar, a resident of Dina Ka Purwa in Sindurwa village under Kamrauli police station limits, had married Uma, daughter of Samai Prajapati from Raniganj, on March 2 this year. However, Uma allegedly remained in touch with her former lover, Vishal, leading to repeated quarrels and even police intervention under preventive measures. Unable to resolve the discord, Shiv Shankar eventually consented to her marriage with Vishal. In the presence of relatives and villagers, traditional rituals including garland exchange and sindoor ceremony, were performed at the temple. When the wedding concluded, Shiv Shankar himself bid farewell to Uma as she left with her new husband....
