PRAYAGRAJ, March 18 -- Family disputes and emotional distress have led to the deaths of a young woman and a man in two separate incidents reported from Kaushambi and Pratapgarh districts, highlighting the severe consequences of domestic tensions. In Kaushambi, a 25-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after a remark made by her husband and a resulting argument. The incident took place in Sant Gadge Nagar area under the jurisdiction of Pashchim Sharira police station. The woman, who had been married for around two-and-a-half years and had a one-year-old daughter, was found hanging inside her home late Monday evening. Initially, suspicions of foul play were raised by her family. However, her father later dismissed all such allegations in a written complaint to the police, stating that his daughter had taken the extreme step following a joke made by her husband. According to police inquiries, a minor argument had occurred a couple of days earlier regarding agricultural work, during which the husband reportedly joked about marrying again. This is believed to have caused emotional distress, leading to the incident. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination, said Harish Tiwari, SHO of Pashchim Sharira police station. In a separate case in Pratapgarh, a 33-year-old man died after allegedly consuming poison at his in-laws' residence in the Baghrai area. A resident of Holagarh area in Prayagraj district, the man had been facing marital discord, with his wife reportedly living at her parental home due to ongoing disputes. On late Monday evening, the man visited his in-laws' house in a village in the Baghrai area, where another argument allegedly took place. He later called his brother-in-law, expressing despair and stating that he no longer wished to live. When relatives reached the spot, they found him unconscious and rushed him to a medical facility....
