Alakh Pandey empowers hometown school with tech, hope
PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 4 -- Ahead of Teachers' Day, renowned educator Alakh Pandey visited Rajkiya Balika Inter College in Katra, his hometown, after learning about the school's ongoing struggles with basic infrastructure - including the lack of safe drinking water, frequent power outages, and the absence of a science laboratory.
Moved by the situation, Pandey immediately instructed his team to address these urgent needs. The school will soon receive water coolers, ceiling fans to improve classroom conditions, an inverter for backup power, and a fully equipped science lab.
Taking his support a step further, Pandey also introduced the PI Box, a cutting-edge educational device designed to offer both offline and online immersive learning experiences. The PI Box can turn any television or screen into a smart, interactive learning hub, making it especially useful for low-resource schools.
Loaded with academic content aligned with the school curriculum, the PI Box helps students not only with regular studies but also in preparing for competitive exams like JEE and NEET. Pandey noted that students can also use the device to access any other educational platform or app of their choice by connecting it to the Internet.
During his visit, Pandey interacted warmly with the students, asking them about their dreams and aspirations. He encouraged them-particularly the young girls-to prioritise education, believe in their potential, and pursue their goals with determination.
