AKTU plans online edu courses
LUCKNOW, July 5 -- A week after achieving NAAC "A" grade in the first cycle of evaluation, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) now plans to start online education courses soon, said its vice-chancellor Prof JP Pandey.
He said the university is applying for the approval of the University Grants Commission to start these courses. "A key requirements for any university to begin online education is to have NAAC accreditation. As we have the accreditation, we are eligible to apply for the same. Initially, we are thinking of starting these courses for Master in Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration," Pandey added.
He said it will be increased to several other courses which do not require laboratories. "The education for those courses which do not require a laboratory can be imparted online with ease. These courses will enable the working professionals and those who cannot attend the classes by being physically present in any university or college to upskill themselves," the VC said.
Pandey also said the university will have a nodal centre where the students can turn up to get their doubts cleared....
