Lucknow, May 27 -- Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state on the law and order issue. Referring to a firing incident in Lucknow on Sunday, he said people were not safe even in the state capital. In a statement, he said: "Criminals are openly firing bullets. They are committing murders. Criminals have no fear of the law. Due to the wrong policies of the BJP government, Uttar Pradesh has become a crime state. The BJP government's claim of zero tolerance on law and order has become zero." "People are not safe even in the capital Lucknow under the BJP government. Bullets are being fired in broad daylight in Lucknow. Gang wars are taking place. In Sarvodaya Nagar of Lucknow, a man was chased on the road and shot. In Para of Lucknow, miscreants attacked and beat up a property dealer in his office with sticks," he added. The SP MP from Kannauj also stated a woman was attacked for opposing the occupation of her house in Malihabad area of Lucknow. "In Jaunpur's Zafarabad, a father and two sons were brutally murdered with sharp weapons. In Noida, during a raid, constable Saurabh Deshwal was shot dead by miscreants. In Saharanpur, a Class 10 student, upset with molestation, committed suicide. There is a flood of crime in the entire state from east to west. The government is not able to manage law and order. Incidents of murder, robbery, molestation are increasing continuously," he said. He further said, "When the BJP government cannot give a permanent DGP to Uttar Pradesh, then how will it manage law and order? What kind of BJP government is this where there is anarchy all around? Women and girls are insulted every day in the BJP rule. Just two days ago, a girl had to jump from an auto to save her honour."...
